Malmo, Copenhagen, Class
Man, juggling all of this is.. a little rough. Woke up early for class this morning. thank goodness i have some pasta sauce already cooked.. cause Would have lunch otherwise. Anyway, classes for the week have started but before i bore you with my fascinating lessons, an update on Copenhagen. Kopenhamn.
We got ourselves a family return ticket which is absoultely awesome. Got to take buses and trains in copenhagen for free too! And knowing us, we maximised it. Stingy singaporean behaviour that we try to limit usage amongst each other. Anyway, saw the runis of mulptile castles built one on top of another, saw this amazing dome in a nearby church, the plaster work and all is stunning. Went to another nearby castle and man! There was so much old furniture and ornaments in it. The first floor's ceiling was covered in scary plaster figures popping out of it. How do people sleep like that? staring at a ceiling peppered with heads staring back at you before u sleep?
I liked the second floor a little better. Less gaudy. But then again, let's just skip to the crown jewels yah. There was this one stone - 1300 karats. oh my goodness. And yes yes i know that the crown jewels in london will be just as fantastic but this was oo nice! :) dowry anyone?
Later we just milled around town, found a supermarket that sells mooncakes so when i get my stuff from uncle lawrence on saturday, i'll buy some there. mooncake festival is this sunday no? so the international coridoor will have some mooncake tasting! plus chinese tea :)
Oh yeah! To maximise our free travel, we kept hoping on anf off buses, getting lost, taking trains to the last station and walked around this suburb.
we decided to take photos with a danish mailbox and lo and behold, when it was my turn, this car drove up and a dude got out to drop something in. the people in the car thought that we were absolutely amusing! haha. totally embarrsed. then when they left, i was getting all ready to go pose again, and the mailman came. eeps. embarrassed!!! but got it done anyway.
Amelia is hell bent on plucking apples from a tree. So.. we'll see. there are some in my neighbourhood. ah, pple will be happy! unstealing.
