I hope that I spelt that right.
Know what? Life is so short and we are such insignificant people.
Is that why people strive to be successful? To be well known so that you leave your imprint on this world?
Why all this strife when the most important thing about life is knowing where u're headed next. For all those of u who believe that there's nothing and u become.. nothing after this life, ok, u're entittled to ur opinion. I can't imagine becoming ..nothing. Isn't it a pity? All those experiences for naught. I want to live knowing that what I did was worthwhile.
Religion strikes many as hollow actions to please the human need to live forever. But seriously, what if we do have the capacity to live forever? What if our consciousness lives on after death?
I know this, I believe in God because there is something different when I go to church, pray and just think about God.
It doesn't mean that it's easy to do the things recommended in the Bible, and it doesn't mean that I can actually follow all of them, but it counts for a lot. Knowing that God exists, that's enough for me at this point.

u may want to be successful - for the money, for happiness, to achieve something, to help ppl out or like u said, to get recognition.
hmm and if the most important thing in life is where ur headed u mite forget to enjoy and savour where u 'are':)...and u mite like keep wanting for more also...gotta learn to sit back and enjoy the painting:D
and we believe our consciousness gets carried onto ur next life...and I thought u guys have eternal life anyway! once u make it to heaven?:p
true too buddhi, :) i am enjoying! But still good to keep persepctive of eternity me feels.
let's hope i make it to heaven.
