Home again.

And it feels like I've never left. The flights were uneventful and oddly enough, the friendliest Swedes and Danish pple I met were on the flight. So so strange. I guess the holiday mood was switched on. Oh no, it sounds like it's going to rain here and I gotta get to Orchard. Joy and Happiness.

Coming back... is great! I love my room at home, my queen sized bed, the airy feeling, food on demand, and flowers! :) My mum bought me orchids! Terrible sweet of her. Watched this is Spinal Tap with Josh, and had a really great time at home. I'm so thankful that the lady at Copenhagen helped me get all that baggage through.

So I feel like my social calendar is so full for the next few days. Which is great, but tiring considering that I need to get some work done. Awesome! Bitha is in 2 of my classes! So now i have notes and company.

Anyway, I have to get to Orchard pronto considering that I only have the weekend to chill with Prash. Lydia and IRene are here and gotta meet up with them...

For loved ones...

I'm coming back!!!!!

Cometh 19th January, you will be graced by my presence at Terminal 1. TG403. Loved ones are most welcome at the gate! So see u haran, granny and mum at the gates! :) Haran! It was so good talking to you and Aunty P. today. It's so sweet that your mum wants to cook for me! Heh! I'll be so psyched to see her! I wanna drag ur mum out to have dinner out! We'll go eat stuff that she might not have had before(if that is even possible!) But first! Ikan bilis sambal.. Mmmm

Oh yups, after lots of prayers (thank you ya all!) and studying - dag och nacht (day and night) in pharmacology and political science, I've done my exam this morning. The strangest thing is that I felt so superbly happy and excited during the exam. Gosh, I really think that I'll pass the exam. Yay!

Retail therapy after the exams and mmm I like spending money.

Said goodbye to Eva and Katrin (my hot icelandic friend!)today. It's really sad cause these people have been so kind and friendly.. Sigh. Eva is so.. caring! She's my mum's age and when I told her that I was stressed she was so nice to invite me to her house for ficka (lunch or tea break) during the week to study and relax. And when I didn't go, she came instead to pharmaco building to have a tea break with Karen and I. So so nice.

Said goodbye to Michael, my Czech friend who is so sweet... Aw.. I'm going to miss him so much. Said goodbye to David, Karolina and Rebecca my Swedish coridoor mates.. cooked them dinner. err... i think the food was a bit of a flop but well, the wine the DAvid broke out made up for that! Haha they were so chatty! Amazing.

Anyway, tmr has more goodbyes in store for me. I'm going to miss Calle and Ruth so much. Hopefully they'll come to Singapore in November. I can't wait to see Joy sometime in June and July too! Oh man. So many people I'll miss.

It's so strange. The five months are up. I can't wait to be home but I want to take parts of Lund back with me. The utter kindness I've found here, the friends I've made... I'll miss cooking dinner with Lydia! Seems like everywhere I go, I meet Lydias! Lydia W! I'll be home soon! Huggles!

sorry!

update camp! Cause I've been spending all my days out of the room studying. It's so much more productive and I get to see a whole lot more. (I don't say).

Ruth just had a heart surgery today and man, she is wonder woman! Get this, they closed a hole in her heart and, she didn't have GA. Oh my goodness!!! All she had was LA (local anaesthesia) for the opening in her leg. She's all fine and dandy now, walking about and all. It's great that the hospital is just a short cut away from pharmacology building.

All this studying buisness is improving. Dad calls periodically to check that I'm ok and that's retty good. He called me once in the swimming pool changing room while 2 swedish boys (young kids!) were gawking at me. they were so cute! in their little swimming trunks.

I love studying at the political science place. Very productive. And there are interesting people to look at too!

haha.. Last bike ride today... my good ol white bike with no name is going to a singaporean girl called sharmaine tmr. Let's hope that she can find the place.

Bath! Ok, so i stole these from gill's webbie.

Smiling

In the midst of studying, I have things to be glad about!

Ya know, there are so many things that could get me down, but those are mere choices. And since I'm still capable of making those choices, I am!

Ruth and Calle are so warm! Went to their place today and as usual, Ruth is a fabulous cook and both of them are so thoughtful! I have my english-swedish bible today! yay! They've got a new computer so I was showing calle a trick or 2. pretty amazing. i love widgets. USE! of weather widget in Sg though. Oh well. U shld've seen calle when i showed him my house on google earth! Amazing programme. Grace and her bf went too and her bf has great english! i'm impressed. And their trip to Eygpt sounds absolutely awesome! But no travelling for sometime for me. I'm flat out tired from planes, packing and pictures. The narcissist in me has died. Anyway I can't bargain, so eygpt must be done with a super good bargainer. josh? wanna go eygpt?

I haven't said anything about my trip to Spain-Ireland-Bath-London yet. Let's have a concise summary yah, Spain is a goregous country which I must visit again. I love the people and the atmosphere. Christmas eve and the town is packed. people were singing along with carolers! U'd never get that anywhere else! Met a dude who works for ryan air and flew from stockholm-giron-dublin with me. He was pretty cool. LOVE for sweden though. Well, he's spanish and swedes are usually a little shy so he was upset about how difficult it is to make swedish friends. Met a Jewish-American girl-Katie on the flight to Dublin. Hari helped give her instructions on how to get to the Spire. Nice gril. Hari!!! It was so good meeting him! I realised how great he is! :) Damn good leader, he can gently push us into doing what he wants! Sounds scary eh.. haha..

Had Guiness in a pub on boxing day, an awesome christmas dinner the night before and a freezing time every night! Bath had the best accomodation hands down- 2.50pounds a night at a hotel? How good can life get?! Anyway, Gill packed a full itineray, saw Stonehenge- UN -6 degrees! AH! happy. But I got some great shots! Anyway, We had a flat out good christmas dinner with her folks. Mulled wine is SUPER! So 2 turkey dinners. Fiona her sister is super easy to talk to too. Bath is the most charming English town, and I loved it.

London was a bloody riot. 7 people in 2 dorm rooms is o so fun. You could say that w had some group dynamics. Shopping- new GAP pants!, musicals - I saw 2!! Fame and Phantom of the Opera. We had totally great seats for Fame, but I don't have to tell u this, but even though we saw Phantom from Upper circle seats, it was so amazing. I loved the songs, the set!! OH MAN! Superb. Phantom could've been better but Raoul was super! And christine. damn good!

Portebello Street was quaint, a bit bangkokish at some points, my Ender's series is now complete! Woo hoo! I have copies of enders series from all editions now i think.
Yes I know...obsessive about my sci fi.

I think I like England's music scene. Their CD shops have so much George Shearing. Why doesn't Singapore have him? He is jazz.

Anyway, got chocolates for the masses, presents for family and friends, DAD! I still don't have urs. Any requests?

Oh yeah, New Year's. After a truckload of meeting up with so and so and so and so, like Alan and Kenny from VJ! It was so bizzare. One minute, we're walking along Chinatown, and I look up, hey? isn't that alan? Oh my goodness! And everyone starts talking at once and poor Gill's parents look like 'WTH is going on?!'

Anyway, after being squished like pancakes in thr throng to the London eye, with amelia latched onto my arm, we make it there and the fireworks are amazing! :) Better than the one at the Esplanade Open.

Getting out was a problem though. I can't believe those stupid parents who brought kids to the fireworks. What were they thinking?! Oh my kids need to be with a trillion other people on New Year's to feel the festivities? To feel the bottom of a boot as they're trampled on? There were even babies in strollers! Epitome of idiocy.

Anyway, the last few days in London were nice and easy going- which was ok for ash, ainie, amelia and i. We were all tired out by then. The flight back was.. amusing. I met an Italian lady on the bus to victoria station and she was going to the coach station too, so I just tagged along. She's a riot! I just met her and she was telling me all this stuff about herself. Very Italian thing to do. Anyway, at Stansted, the airport, it's this massive refugee camp. Already prepared for that, so I whipped out my excuse of a sleeping bag and fell asleep in front of the money changer. Oh man, I was so wiped out. I didn't wake up till people started milling around it as it was about to open. I can sleep anywhere now.

Sweden was a winter wonderland upon arrival. Be green. It was white all over.

But now, I shall refrain from going on as I must finish Cholinergic receptors and transmitters tonight! later!

Going home.

My temporary home that is, in a couple of hours. Going to wait out at Stansted airport and catch the early flight to Malmo. Tomorrow will be a sleeping and easy chapters day before I go flat out on studying.

I must pass this exam, study super hard now, then go home feeling great that i've passed, back to hot weather, family and friends and food!

Wish me concentration!
