God Jul and Happy Christmas!

Hey dears, merry christmas - really merry - from Dublin!

Getting here was a mild adventure. SLEPT the night before i left because i was afriad i'd miss my flight, then left the hostel at 3am, took the 7am flight to Girona (Spain) then transitted there for 7 hours. Girona is a pretty sweet town and I must go back to Spain. Anyway, met this Ryan air flight crew dude who took the same flights to Dublin and a Jewish American - Katie, on the way here. Nice people. Got my mum a present too. I can't tell u what it is though! :) Surprise for January.

Anyway, I'm here in Dublin, everything is dead, we just had a great christmas dinner of which we ate half of because we're so freaking full. Stuff to eat for tomorrow. Hopefully we'll see some of Dublin tmr.

I have to do a presentation and study 6 more chapters before i return. Hope that i can get something done. Tough! Cause i love these s11 people. I haven't seen hari for 2 and a half years before this! he's taking good care of us. :) Pam is completely blur to say the least.

As usual, here I am before going on a trip and... I dun really wanna go. So typical. For almost every single trip I've gone on here, I'm kinda lazy the days before it. The thought of having to be enthu and go ard the place like crazy is oh so fun. But it's all good I think. My parents are the slow moving sorta travellers, and when I go to Dublin- christmas means that there'll be a lot of slacking to do. I've burnt some dvds for them. So I'll take a good rest in Dublin, and study a bit, and get myself a Stout!

Then we're off to Bath to see Gillian and her famiy. After that is London. I'm going to take it easy there since I've been there before. And not going to kill myslef and max myself out. This holiday is going to be relaxing you hear me! I'm informing my subconscious that.

Getting to the hostel tmr in one piece is going to be interesting. Considering that I"m bringing so many pieces of luggage with me!

Everyone is leaving!!

Most of the european international students have gone home for christmas, 2 of my swedish neighbours went home today, thankfully, karolina - who is so spunky! - will be here till this friday, and will be here when I get back. yay. company!

Said goodbye to Roberto who lives at lydia's coridoor. Spanish cheek kisses. nice! The spanish people I've met here have all been so warm and affectionate. I think I'd like living in Spain. Sofia! Yup, she's terribly nice too.

Just had dinner with Lydia and Rei today. Curry and prawns. odd combination but oh well.

I can't wait to be home, and at the same time, I can totally wait for the exam. So there's some conflict of interest here. I'm leaving just 2 days after my exam. I'll miss Calle, Ruth, Lydia, Carole, Karen, Karolina and David... and Joy! But I'll get to see Karen, Lydia and Joy soon though.. I hope!

I'll miss the cold weather. This morning, I woke up and the courtyard was covered in a thin layer of snow! That's a first for me. Waking up to snow. Very nice. It even covered my window sill. I can't imagine ever using a blanket in Singapore again.

Back to work! I've not been as productive as I'd like to! Shall make up for it now.

Darn! Mitsubishi can make cars and washing machines, but their phones don't last for very long! Grrr.. It's only been a year plus and my phone seems to be hanging on me. Wah liao. timing camp.

That's it! I'm going home, getting a new plan and a new phone. Motorola here I come.

the going gets tough

The endless work has begun. 36 chapters in 18 days. And 6 of these days start tomorrow and the other 12 on the 4th of january. Honestly, I don't know if I can make it. Please all you believers in God out there, start praying for me! I gotta pass! I need 60% of my 40marks test in January and essays and lab report that makes up the other 10 marks to pass. I simply cannot retake the exam in Feburary for the simple reason of, I just won't be around to! And the thought of having to mug pharmacology when i get back is unappealling to say the least.

Anyway, on another note, met Calle today to do a short Christmas eve radio programme today. Pretty cool. They took me to the back of the church where they have a radio station and we picked out a couple of songs, and in half an hour, wah lah, we have a programme. Not bad. I was wondering what on earth I could say about Christmas in Singapore since a lot of people don't really celebrate it, but my memory has served me well. Now to study for an hour more before knocking off.

It's great having ma and dad here, but sometimes.. they drive me wild! Mum has effectively made me spend 40kr calling her, when she was in Danish soil!! ARGH! international call and she didn't even know it till when she got back. Ok ok, it's their money after all.

They're leaving for Gothenburg tomorrow. Oh man i hope that they'll be ok on their own.

Hey hey, my parents are here.. And I'm absolutely knackered. WOke up at 5am to meet them at Copenhagen airport. Man I almost didn't make it to the airport. Unholy hour!! I think that if I wasn't so sleepy, I'd have teared at the sight of them. So did sleepiness help me keep my decorum in check?

We walked aLOT today. Man I am so tired out. And we didn't go to the Carlsberg brewery! Humph! :( I wanna gooo!!! We're having an early christmas dinner and farewell to Kasia tonight. I'm pretty tuckered out and my mum is gg to go. Think Dad is way too tired to go. Poor thing.

My mum's nuts! She's cleaning the kitchen as we speak. It's not THAT dirty i think.

Oh MAN!!!

I just got a friendster request from an old sailing friend. Well, I don't know if we're really friends, all I remember is screaming a whole lot of stuff at her on water when we raced. She was from another school. It's culture to scream at each other at every buoy. Anyway, one thing leads to another and i end up at Toh's friendster site. Oh man! They won the 470 races during the SEA games! And Siobhan, this junior of mine when we were in TKGS won the 420 races. I'm so proud of them, and jealous too!!!! They are so tan, so incredible at sailing, so achieved!

I really want to go back and sail but I'm so unfit, don't know if i remember how to even sail. Argh... shld pluck up some guts, don't care what other sailors will think of that clutz on water and just go. :( I shld go. please kick me if i don't.

I've decided to emulate my brother and put up my wish list for Christmas.

1. Pass pharmaco. do tell me to stop watching stupid shows and get down to work!
2. Be able to visit all the friends I've made here in the future.
3. Those typical swedish horse ornaments. just 1!!
4. New threads. Oh I love topshop, H&M but no money! :(
5. New CF card. my pathetic 32, 16, 64 mb cards don't add up to much.
6. I wanna be home for christmas!! my poor family is going to be totally seperated for christmas. parents on a plane, josh goodness knows where..
I realise that my wishlist is pretty hard to fulfil. Half of the items, i have to do for myself. Merry Christmas lyd! :)

Hope u guys can finish ur christmas shopping. i'm not feeling christmasy at all this year. so strange. in a european country and i dun feel christmasy at all!

I miss the snow.

Wow so scary! I was bored, and supposed to be studying and went to check out the hit rate on my blogs, and apparently, u can figure out where the pple who have been checking out ur blog come from. There are hits from brazil and some strange places in the states!

But the odd thing is, they recorder Jan as a person from the states. huh?
